III National Congress of cardiac surgeons will take place on August 29-30 in the capital. The 2-day event will unite specialists from different countries of the world to exchange experience, ideas, and to discuss progressive achievements of science and to establish international contacts. This information is given to astana.kz by the Health Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Leading cardiac surgeons of the world will hold workshops for adult and child cardiac surgery and arrythmology. Special attention will be given to achievements in treatment of chronic cardiac failure, complex heart defects of children and adults, as well as development of hybrid technologies. The Congress will become a space for discussion of topical issues of modern cardiac surgery, including organ transplant, cardiology, rehabilitation, and other issues. In spite of the fact that the Congress is held on the annual basis, this year it is held in cooperation with the World Society of Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons, Chicago University and Nazarbayev University for the first time ever.
